Exploring DStv Zambia

MultiChoice Zambia strives to make a positive impact and minimize negative impacts on the communities in which we operate.

Recognizing that failure to do this would be living at odds with our mission of Enriching Lives.

A message from the Managing Director

MultiChoice Zambia was set up as a joint venture between ZNBC and MAH and is part of the MultiChoice Group. As a responsible corporate citizen rooted in Zambia, the business has grown together with Zambian communities in the last 27 years.

MultiChoice Group has played a significant role in developing the local content industry through its investment in local channels, such as Zambezi Magic and One ZED. In an effort to support the local film and television industry, MultiChoice has continued to use its influence to play a positive role in helping to grow the local creative industries into vibrant, economic powerhouses. MultiChoice has also partnered with local TV and radio stations to make TV and audio channels accessible on our DStv and GOtv platforms and invested heavily in the local content industry, resulting in the relative growth of the film industry in Zambia. This investment is a true reflection of how it is adding value to customers and putting their interests first.

MultiChoice has positively impacted the technical and professional value chain in the film and television industry through its CSI initiative, MultiChoice Talent Factory (MTF) Academy. Through MTF Academy, MultiChoice’s our commitment to the future of the film and television industry has given young Africans the chance to hone their television and film production skills by providing them with world-class training programmes.

MultiChoice is proud of the impact on the economy of Zambia. MultiChoice Zambia is a subscriber management service that provides customer services to MultiChoice Group’s subscriber base. The MultiChoice Zambia business is equally proud of its contribution to the sustainable economic growth of Zambia through tax contributions and significant job creation as well as through supporting Zambian entrepreneurs who operate as agencies, direct sales, and accredited installers. With the MultiChoice Talent Factory, young people are upskilled in film production, ensuring that we create the next generation of story tellers.

Through the digital platforms - DStv App and Showmax an online video entertainment service, we continue to not only make entertainment more accessible everywhere but also provide Zambians with the best local and world-class entertainment.

The journey of our story in Zambia has been that of enriching lives!
