Mzansi Magic brings new comedy in 2023
Meshack Mavuso Magabane and Mapaseka Koetle to lead Mzansi Magic’s new sitcom, Lenyalo ha se Papadi.
Get ready for a hilarious emotional rollercoaster with brand-new comedy series, Lenyalo ha se Papadi which premieres on Monday, 9 January 2023 at 20:00 on Mzansi Magic (DStv Channel 161).
The 13-part sitcom follows the drama that ensues after Desmond (Meshack Mavuso Magabane) and Mpho (Mapaseka Koetle) decide to end their marriage, and try to navigate a new life of co-parenting, family, finances and attempting to date – all while still living under the same roof. There will be tears, heartache and plenty of entertaining moments from the couple.

Stuck together
At 40, Mpho believes that it’s the perfect time to end her 15-year marriage to Desmond. After being a devoted wife and mother to their two children, she has reached a breaking point.
Initially, she expects a smooth process but things take a dramatic and funny turn when she realises that she can’t afford to move out of their marital home as the divorce process unfolds – and neither can her husband. The couple is trapped together while trying to start a new life without each other. Who will crack first?
In addition to Meshack (The River, Isibaya) and Mapaseka (Grootboom & Sons), the cast of Lenyalo ha se Papadi includes: screen legend Clementine Mosimane (Poppie Nongena and Legacy); award-winning actor, Mandla Gauduka (District 9, Losing Lerato); and newcomer, Lindokuhle Mbonani.
