Who do you think will win the World Cup?

Presley Chweneyagae, Cobra in telenovela, The River on 1Magic (DStv Channel 103): Brazil.

J’Something, host on reality show, My Kitchen Rules SA on M-Net (DStv Channel 101): Portugal will win the World Cup, of course.

Jolene Martin, Beatrice in telenovela, Arendsvlei on kykNet (DStv Channel 147): Brazil.

JR Bogopa, judge on talent competition, Idols SA on Mzansi Magic (DStv Channel 161): I think either Brazil or France. That’s who my money is on.

Jarrid Geduld, Bompie in Arendsvlei: I have no doubt in my mind that Brazil [will take the title]. They are five-time world champions, they rank number one on the FIFA World rankings, and they’ve put on an impressive run over the years. They also have some solid players.

Which player are you looking forward to the most?

Presley Chweneyagae: Lionel Messi [determined that it’s his last World Cup so, he will go out with a bang].

J’Something: I’m not only looking forward to seeing Cristiano Ronaldo, Ruben Dias, Bernardo Silva, and Bruno Fernandes in action, but I can’t wait to see if they and the whole Portugal squad can realise a dream of our nation.

Jolene Martin: Kylian Mbappé.

JR Bogopa: Vinicius Jr. As a Real Madrid fan, I have seen him come up from development to the first team. It should be interesting to watch him play his first World Cup.

Jarrid Geduld: I think I might be a little biassed on this question because I’m a fan of the man… It’s no secret: Cristiano Ronaldo. This might be his last World Cup. If all goes to plan, [Portugal] will win the World Cup.

Where and with who will you be watching the opening game with?

Presley Chweneyagae: Pretoria, with family and friends.

J’Something: I will be on tour with [my band], Mi Casa but I’m hoping to be home, and watch with my mates and family.

Jolene Martin: I’ll be watching with my dad, Joe.

JR Bogopa: I’ll probably host the night. Call some mates over to check the fixture.

Jarrid Geduld: I don’t know yet, but I’m sure it’s going to be fun. I can’t wait for all the countries and nations to show up with viewers supporting them. We wish them all well.
