August Adventures for Kids on DStv
August gets an A+ for adventures for Kids on DStv. From exploring the backyard to exploring the universe, it’s come-along fun!
Timmy Turner’s wish comes true, and he gets his own Wishology movie trilogy on DStv, just Like Harry Potter or a Hobbit. His quest for wands will take him to the far end of the universe in an epic adventure. And not to brag, but Luz is travelling through time and space when The Owl House Season 2 returns. Meanwhile Captain Lettie, Chief Scientist Lemo, and the crew of the Calypso are back under the sea in new episodes of Big Blue. But they could all have just as much fun staying home and having outdoor, backyard adventures, poking things with sticks like the imaginative Creek Kids, Sewer Kids and Stump kids in Craig of The Creek Season 4.
Send your kids on their own quest for adventures with DStv this August and find out what glam rock band Kiss is doing with a wand of power!

5 Awesome August Adventures
Wishology Trilogy
The Fairly Oddparents series is bringing us a magical movie trilogy this August. The 3 Wishology films will follow Timmy Turner’s adventures as “The Chosen One”, on a mission to conquer The Darkness with a magic wand (after he makes a wish to star in his own movie franchise!). Watch with your kids (or grandkids) because first Timmy will have to get to the Middle-Aged Rock Festival in Las Vegas, because Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley of the glam rock band Kiss are also secretly the Galactic Guardians of the White Wand. In the middle of the story, Timmy will have to make peace with his enemies like Mr. Crocker, Dark Laser, and Vicky, and find a second wand, the Wind Wand, on the far side of the universe to fully defeat The Darkness, and in the final film, Timmy must defeat The Darkness’s rogue Eliminator Robots with help from the Ice Wand.

Dogs With Extraordinary Jobs Season 1
Your animal loving kids might already be longing to stroke a guide dog, but we bet they’re smart enough not to do that. In this series they’ll learn more about working dogs around the world. A border collie mix finds survivors during earthquakes, a Labrador-German Shepherd mix is on a mission to stop ivory poaching, and spaniels use their noses to search for underground water leaks. Closer to home, Nati the Jack Russell is the guardian of a mixed group of animals, including an aardwolf, at the Naankuse Wildlife Sanctuary in Namibia, and a South African Belgian shepherd named Brin helps to monitor endangered tortoises.
Watch Dogs With Extraordinary Jobs Season 1 Mondays-Fridays from Monday, 15 August at 17:05 on Da Vinci (DStv Channel 318)
Craig of The Creek Season 4
Last season Craig and his friends defeated the kids from the Other Side of the creek in glorious unarmed combat, so this season there’s twice the territory for all the little local kid gangs like the Creek Kids, Sewer Kids and Stump kids to explore and play in. Is La Llorona haunting the library? Who is Omar now that he’s taken off The Green Poncho? And is the lone corner block of a Rubik’s Cube the key to a brand-new adventure? There’s lots of adventures, plenty of mysteries to uncover, and stacks of peanut butter sandwiches to devour. Let’s play!

Big Blue Season 1B
Hurrah! We have brand new episodes of eco-adventure series Big Blue, with Captain Lettie, Chief Scientist Lemo, and the crew of the Calypso. This month, Lettie’s up for a punctuality award and just to be on the safe side, she wants to be there 9 hours early. Lemo hacks the Calypso’s wiring to create the ultimate gaming system, Lettie has to teach the crew the appropriate manners for a formal dinner, and Freddie’s missions for the team are called into question.
Watch Big Blue Season 1B Mondays-Fridays from Monday, 1 August at 16:40 on Cartoon Network (DStv Channel 301)
The Owl House Season 2B
As we return to The Owl House, Bonesborough prepares for the annual Coven Day Parade, during which Emperor Belos reveals his face to the public for the first time. Luz travels back in time to the Deadwardian Era to meet Philip Wittebane (which ties in with the Coven Day Parade episode in an interesting way) so she can ask him about the portal door. And Luz and Amity try to track down the author of The Good Witch Azura books after they argue about whose realm they’re from.
