5 must-see series
When Luxury Holidays Go Horribly Wrong Season 1
From FOMO to oh, no! See what happens when a hurricane strikes a luxury cruise in the Bahamas, a couple’s 2017 Las Vegas holiday is disrupted by a spree killer, and injuries cripple a diving trip in Indonesia. South African-born actress Glynis Barber hosts this doccie series for those of us still stuck at home. Look out for the other fun titles in this series: When All-Inclusive Holidays Go Horribly Wrong, When Cosmetic Surgery Goes Horribly Wrong, and When Diets Go Horribly Wrong.
When Luxury Holidays Go Horribly Wrong Season 1 from Saturday, 4 June at 20:40 on CBS Reality (DStv Channel 132)
Naked And Afraid Of Love Season 1
How confident would you have to be about your wobbly bits to show up to a first date stark naked? This series drops 8 men and 8 women on an island paradise and strips them of everything from their clothes, to their phones, to toothpaste, razors and deodorant. Then it sets them loose to find love, make shelters, or wander off into the wilderness like a grazing goat. PS: There are some surprisingly recognisable people in this, like Stefen D’Angelica from Hustle And Soul.
Watch Naked And Afraid Of Love Season 1 from Tuesday, 7 June at 21:00 on TLC (DStv Channel 135)
Kenny & Armando: Our Journey So Far Season 1
This 90 Day Fiancé spin-off series catches up with American Kenny and Mexican Armando. Kenny has to tell his family how young Armando is before he prepares to leave for Mexico to be with his love, while Armando still hasn’t told his family about the man he’s been in a relationship with for the past 3 years. In Mexico, we see their experiences with bigotry on the street, the language barrier and the legal obstacles they have to face, despite gay marriage being legally recognised in Mexico.
Watch Kenny & Armando: Our Journey So Far Season 1 from Sunday, 26 June at 18:00 on TLC (DStv Channel 135)
Lightened Up Season 1
If home cooking and soul food make you feel so good while being so bad for you, Erwan Heussaff knows how you feel. He grew up in the Philippines where family meals like fatty pork belly with coconut gravy reign supreme. But now he’s sharing his tips to help you to cut down on unhealthy fats and sugars, while still creating a dish you can bring to the table on any occasions from a braai to a wedding. Check out his tips with Korean fried wings and noodles.
