DStv Family brings the heat this May
5 Sizzling series on DStv Family in May 2022, from Dineo Ranaka’s Ishushu Season 1, to thrilling travel adventure series Primal Survivor: Escape The Amazon Season 1
It’s winter and we’re now officially team stay-at-home with DStv Family. We have Dineo Ranaka heating up the kitchen, Phumeza Mdabe handling hot tempers, and Hazen Audel getting steamy in the Amazon jungle. With TV this scorching, you’ll only need 1 blanket.
For a few years we kept tabs on Dineo Ranaka’s kitchen adventures through her Instagram, The Untrained Chef. Now Dineo and The Purple Chef, Barney Jiri, have teamed up to host and judge the cooking reality series Ishushu Season 1. It’s authentic, it’s African, and it’s delicious fun. There’s more local excitement in the confrontational and moving Enough Is Enough Season 1 with mediator Phumeza Mdabe helping families to draw the line with a person’s toxic tendencies.
If you’re yearning for adventure, follow in the footsteps of Adventurer and Survivalist Hazen Audel in Primal Survivor: Escape The Amazon Season 1, as he treks barefoot through the Amazon jungle using skills that he learned first-hand from the local tribes. The learning continues across the globe in National Geographic’s (DStv Channel 181) Lost Treasures of Rome Season 1. For adventures of a different kind, there’s the brand-new Private Eyes Season 3, which starts with PI Angie behind bars and Shade having to prove her innocence.
And in honour of Africa Day on Wednesday, 25 May, DStv will be spotlighting African films that bring us the warmth of the continent with the AfroCinema Pop-Up channel (DStv Channel 198), from Friday, 20 May to Sunday, 29 May.
