Welcome to the 94th Annual Academy Awards on DStv

The crowning moment of the 2021-2022 awards season is finally here! It’s Oscars Night on M-Net Movies 1 (DStv Channel 104) and M-Net (DStv Channel 101) on Monday, 28 March. And there’s a little gold dust in the air because we know that Oscar has a few surprises to delight and dazzle up his sleeve this year. For example, Encanto fans can look forward to a live, original cast performance of the movies’ breakout hit song We Don’t Talk About Bruno.

The hosts & presenters

The 94th Academy Awards will have 3 hosts: comedians Regina Hall, Amy Schumer and Wanda Sykes. “This year’s show is all about uniting movie lovers. It’s apropos that we’ve lined up three of the most dynamic, hilarious women with very different comedic styles. Expect the unexpected!” says the show’s producer Will Packer. Academy President David Rubin and Academy CEO Dawn Hudson adds, “Hosting this star-studded party are 3 powerful, funny women inviting us to laugh and cheer for the year’s best and brightest in film.”

And if anything, this year’s pack of presenters will make for a spectacular guest list at the afterparties.
