Meet Wali Diwali

ZeeTV (DStv channel 453) celebrates this Diwali with a 2-hour special Meet crossover episode featuring the channel’s best loved soap stars. The Ahlawat family will celebrate with families from the different soapies and interact against a festive backdrop at their farm house. Indian TV’s adored couples – Prachi-Ranbir (Kumkum Bhagya) and Abhi-Pragya (Kumkum Bhagya) – along with stars like Asha Negi, Mohit Malik and Gurmeet Choudhary, will join together in a song and dance extravaganza, complete with heartwarming plots and romantic scenes galore.

Movies

Dream Girl

Hindi romantic comedy. Karamveer "Karam" Singh (Ayushmann Khurrana) is so good at impersonating a woman's voice that he lands a job at a call centre catering to lonely men, where he soon becomes a smash hit with the clients. But when he gets engaged to the lovely Mahi (Nushrat Bharucha), his little sideline becomes a big problem.

Khaali Peeli

Hindi language masala film. Childhood sweethearts Pooja (Ananya Panday) and Blackie (Ishaan Khatter) are torn apart by circumstances. Fate brings them back together on the night when 18-year-old Pooja is fleeing a brothel with a bag of stolen money, and she bumps into Blackie, who's now a taxi driver. Blackie agrees to be Pooja’s getaway driver. . . for a price.

Haseen Dilruba

This romantic comedy-thriller adapts Roald Dahl’s 1954 short story Lamb To The Slaughter, about a woman who uses a cunning way to hide the evidence after murdering her husband. Rani (Taapsee Pannu) is working outside the house when it explodes, killing her husband, Rishu (Vikrant Massey). Between flashbacks and the present-day police investigation, we slowly see the truth about the couple’s marriage.

Also look out for…

Diwali season is blockbuster season on SET Max. The channel’s Pataka Weekend stunt will feature the latest releases including Shakuntala Devi, Sardar Ka Grandson, Gulabo Sitabo, and Tuesdays & Fridays. The channel will also be showcasing those big action blockbusters like Lage Raho Munna Bhai, and Krrish 3.

Brand new series

Keep a close watch on your SET Asia (DStv channel 450) TV schedule on Thursday, 4 November, and throughout the week, for all manner of Diwali delights. There will be special episodes of talk series The Kapil Sharma Show, and KBC (Who Wants to be a Millionaire), along with Diwali-themed special episodes of ongoing shows. And a brand new series launches on SET Asia this month, the family drama series Kaamna!

Kaamna

Family drama centred on a middle-class Indian family and the tension between their traditional values and desire to reach for something better and brighter, including the dream of being rich. . . while disapproving of how rich people live their lives. With Abhishek Rawat, Chandni Sharma, Manav Gohil, Tasneem Ali, and Nitish Prashar.
