There, these flirty people will tackle a series of challenges and elimination tasks to find their Mr. or Ms. Right and couple up. But only 1 golden couple, who develop the most authentic relationship, can win the grand cash prize of R500,000 and walk down the aisle at their own dream wedding. Elimination shows are on Sundays at 22:00. And look out for the week’s naughtiest, steamiest footage in the Lovey Dovey After Dark programme, Mondays-Thursdays at 22:30.

Host Somizi

South African celeb Somizi Buyani Mhlongo (49) rose to fame as a choreographer. His projects including working on the opening and closing ceremonies for the 2010 FIFA World Cup and 2013 Africa Cup of Nations. Show business is in his blood. He’s the son of actress Mary Twala, actor, and comedian Ndaba Mhlongo, and he has been performing since he was 13 years old. These days, people know Somizi best as an Idols SA judge and for his reality show Dinner at Somizi’s.

Host Gabi

Gabisile “Gabi” Tshabalala (31) broke out as an actress in the series Hola Mpinji, the touching film Losing Lerato, in her role as Lolo in the 2021 eVOD series Housewives, and she was a smash-hit presenter in the nostalgic talk series #TBT. Gabi is also a recording artist who is performed tracks with DJ Nastor. And at home, she is raising 5 children, so keeping track of everyone’s alliances, grudges and romances in the Lovey Dovey Mansion is going to be child’s play.

Justice “Chopo” Moshoeshoe

42-year-old pastor and fashion buyer Chopo hails from Matatiele, but now lives in Pretoria. “Moruti uhloka Stoko,” says Chopo: “I love God and I love a good time”

Linda “Linz”

42-year-old entrepreneur Linz comes from Gugulethu in Cape Town. “Single since 2018 – looking to find someone to build something solid with,” says Linz. He cares about what people think of him.

Mandisa

32-year-old model Mandisa comes from Gugulethu in Cape Town. “I’m very sexy, I’m fun, so what are the chances of the person not wanting me?” asks Mandisa.

37-year-old Bloemfontein-based clinical nurse Maserame says, “We’re all in this to find love,” and “I’m quiet, but I will shock you…a man must chase me.”

47-year-old self-employed and self-described hustler Meza comes from Protea North in Soweto. “I’m a lover. I want to be hugged, kissed, touched… anything,” insists Meza. While she wants to get married, she’s looking for someone special. ‘’These people bore me, they’re so uptight,” sighs Meza.

Warona Odeliah Dube

33-year-old “DJ Warona” comes from Mafikeng and works as a DJ, model and HR Practitioner. She fancies men and women, but she loves working out, so her man must look like a snack. “I’m hoping someone will love this girl, and I will love them back,” says Warona

Nonhlanhla Mazibuko

32-year-old professional dancer Nonhlanhla comes from Protea Glen, Soweto. “I’m here to bring fun,” she says. “I’m not shy…DVD.”

Ayanda Mathonsi

41-year-old events and marketing bro Ayanda comes from Mlazi, Durban. “This is a good chance to meet a nice woman,” he says, adding, “Snake in the eagle’s shadow”.

Gift Masuku

33-year-old author Gift comes from Hazeyview, Mpumalanga. He would not mind polygamy because he believes he is a catch and will have many women after him. He has only one woman he considers an ex and reveals that he is “looking for a woman with a landscape body shape.”

Tebogo Benny Mabote

34-year-old record label owner, producer and artist Tebogo comes from Bloemfontein. “I used to be wild, not anymore,” he says. “My strategy is simple; go in the house, identify what you want, get it and leave a happy man.”

Johannes “Jo” Rangaka

34-year-old personal trainer and business owner Jo has come to the Lovey Dovey Mansion to win, or rather, to be won. “I don’t chase woman,” he insists. “Love must come with money.”

Keke Hoohlo

36-year-old stripper, DJ and entertainer Keke comes from Mangaung, Bloemfontein, and now lives in Roodepoort, Johannesburg. “I’m here to break hearts and win the money,” he boasts.

Romeo Mageba

27-year-old fashion designer Romeo is originally from Lalusha, Durban, and now lives in Fourways, Johannesburg. “I like what I like… may the best man win,” he says.

Lilanga

32-year-old student Lilanga comes from Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape Province. “I’m looking for my best friend… but I don’t want to limit myself to only one person,” says Lilanga.

Lindiwe Angie Kibi

39-year-old personal assistant Lindiwe comes from Aspen Hills, Johannesburg South. She’s the life of the party and says, “I excite both males and females… seduction works for me.”
