Francesco Bagnaia will look to continue his brilliant form when the 10th round of the 2024 MotoGP World Championship, the Grand Prix of Britain, is held at the Silverstone Circuit in Northamptonshire on the afternoon of Sunday 4 August.

Ducati Lenovo's Bagnaia has claimed four successive Grand Prix wins to leapfrog Prima Pramac Ducati pilot Jorge Martin at the top of the Riders' Championship – 'Pecco' now holds a 10-point lead over Martin, with Gresini Ducati's Marc Marquez a further 46 points back to round out the top trio.

Bagnaia's win at the last round in Germany – when Martin crashed out of the lead – has been talked of as a potential turning point in the title race, but the Italian has refused to see it in this way.

"I don't think so. I’m in this good mood from six or seven Grand Prix already. I’m feeling well and fantastic with my team,” he explained. “We are doing a perfect job every weekend. We won five in these last six Grands Prix.

“But I don't think that also for Jorge [anything] will change. It will be like starting from zero again [at Silverstone] because we have 10 points' gap and the championship is still very, very long. It’s not time to think about a turning point of a championship. It’s too long."

Meanwhile, KTM rider Brad Binder has urged his team to give him more pace so he can compete on an even footing with the Ducatis: "Clearly we need to find something because the guys ahead of us were in a league of their own," said the South African.

“It’s the same story of the last few races. We need to find more pace to go with the boys ahead. I think we got some valuable information and made some radical changes to figure out what direction we need to go in to try and keep the performance over a race especially."

The British Grand Prix was won by Aprilia Racing's Aleix Espargaro last year – the fourth different rider and constructor to win the race in the past four editions, adding to Alex Rins / Suzuki (2019), Fabio Quartararo / Yamaha (2021) and Bagnaia / Ducati (2022).

Espargaro, who is set to leave Aprilia at the end of the year, is looking to claim one more win with the Italian team before he becomes a test rider from Honda in 2025: "There’s still a long season ahead of me and I would like to finish on the top step of the podium at least once before I leave," said the Spaniard.
