“For us being underdogs to a certain extent we are immune to it. We are preparing properly and as professionals. We are going to give everything, and this is what we live for. We have people back home supporting us who we are playing for.”

South Africa coach Hugo Broos noted, “We must keep fighting right to the end. They are high quality opponents, but we cannot be deterred as we strive to represent the nation.”

Group F wraps in the early evening with simultaneous matches at the Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium and Laurent Pokou Stadium, as Tanzania battles DR Congo and Zambia faces Morocco respectively.

“The most important thing in football is the next match,” said Zambia coach Avram Grant. “This meeting is important because we want to win to increase our chances of qualifying for the next round. We have our own style of play. We want to move forward, and score goals every time.”

Tanzania assistant coach Hemed Suleiman noted, “It’s a great team with good players but we have objectives for this tournament too.”
