WYRE/ CECILE

From an early age Kevin Waire – well known in the music industry as Wyre - was fascinated by Michael Jackson and spent most of his time imitating him. The second born in a family of three Wyre credits his success to his family and Ted Josiah his friend and producer. Like most in the game he started singing in a school choir where he later formed a group of five called Soul Pac which later disbanded at the end of their schooling years. While in college, Necessary Noise was formed. They launched their album in 2001 but later broke up after Nazizi and Bamzi had to leave for Malaysia to further their studies. Later, they regrouped minus Bamzi launching Necessary Noize II. The duo joined Bebe Cool to form the award-winning East African Reggae Bashment Crew and released singles like “Fire Anthem”, “Kube” and “Africa Unite”. In 2004 they broke up to pursue solo careers. Wyre's debut album Definition of a Love Child – with the singles “Usuhuba”, “Sikiza”, “Definations”, “Chuki” and “Make a Choice” - was released in 2006. The second Deeper Definition in 2009.
