This is arguably the year of Travis Scott in Hip Hop, and you know that's true because Nicki Minaj recently threw plenty of hectic shade at him, claiming his sustained #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 200 was bogus when first weeks sales of her 4th album - Queen, were not enough to dethrone Travis' ASTROWORLD during its second week. 

The album had debuted atop the world's biggest album chart with an impressive 537,000 equivalent units. Thus the album became the year's second-highest premiere in sales, trailing behind only Drake's Scorpion. There's no lack of evidence that Travis is one of the most influential Hip Hop artists of this generation, either.
