She's in her own lane, and it's a lane many of her contemporaries can only envy. Lady Zamar extends her ongoing reign as the undisputed Queen of House music with the release of her second album, Monarch. The 17 track project has premiered to favourable reviews as fans have been expressing delight with Zamar's sheer songwriting brilliance, catchy dance jams and those smooth vocals that propelled her to the top of the charts when her vocals on Junior Taurus' Mamelodi first dominated radio and dancefloors all over the country.
Between then and now, Lady Zamar's star has seen a meteoric rise with the release of her first solo studio album, King Zamar. The critically lauded offering went on to score the double platinum plaque thanks to a slew of chart topping hits that she unleashed back to back. By the end of 2018, she had managed to score herself the biggest digital song by a South African artist with her smash love anthem, 'Collide'. She's now also one of the top 10 most streamed South African artist of all time on the Apple Music Streaming platform. All of that and a SAMA! She's clearly one with quite the achievements.
And yet, Zamar has managed to duck the much dreaded sophomore slump, proving she's here to stay. Monarch has already spawned a scorching hit, This Is Love. The album is being praised for not dropping the ball at any point; every song is ready for the airwaves.
