KEKO, RADIO & WEASEL



Keko is a Ugandan rapper whose rise to fame began in 2010 with the release of '”Fallen Heroes” which she appeared alongside other established Ugandan artists like Don MC,SP,DAVIS and also the Mwanba children choir. After spitting arguably an impressive verse on the track Keko began to turn heads with her lyrics, delivery and presence on tracks. Her break through single “How we do It” took the Ugandan charts by storm making her an instant household name in East Africa. The self-proclaimed Queen of Rap has since collaborated on a number of songs with numerous Ugandan artists from Juliana to Joanita Kawalya including the much acclaimed “Go Green” a climate change awareness song with Angela Katatumba. 2011 saw Keko join Africa’s elite group of entertainers with a call to perform on Big Brother Africa Amplified. She is currently working on her first studio album which is slated for a 2012 release. The first single is titled “Alwoo (Cry for Help)”.



Weasel real name Douglas Suguya Mayanja turned pofessional in 2002 after being inspired by his brother Jose Chameleon. He went on to release an album titled Toyamba. He teamed up with his brother - who he also sang backing vocals for- and together they released the dancehall tune “Bomboclat”. Radio, real name Moses Ssekibogo Nakitinje is the second born to a family of six. He went professional in 2004 releasing the tracks “Wololo” and “Kyaterekera” among others. In the same year he joined Leone Island crew under the management of Jose Chameleon where he released “Jennifer” which turned out to be his break into the Ugandan music industry. In 2005 he released another single “Sweet Lady” which became an instant favourite. Radio and Weasel teamed up in 2008 and formed the Goodlyfe crew and released their first single “Nakudata” which became a big hit. Together they have released four albums.
