J-Martins hails from Ohaofia in Abia State, Nigeria. As a child he was heavily influenced by his mother who was a choir mistress and while growing up he learned to play multiple instruments. This Mass Communication (IMT, Enugu) and Business Admin (Enugu State Uni of Technology) degree holder has worked with the likes of P Square, Soul E, 9Ice and Timaya to mention a few. His debut album titled Good or Bad was released in 2008 and the first single has earned Jay Martin several nominations and awards within and outside Nigeria.
