American by birth, Nigerian by heritage and a New Yorker at heart, Banky Wellington began his singing career at the tender age of 10 and has never looked back since. Blessed with a smooth voice, writing and production skills, Banky’s sound fuses a wide range of genres from Urban R&B and Hip-Hop, Afro beat and Reggae,  to traditional West African beats and rhythms. As a result he has won numerous talent shows across the country. While in college, he won the “Albany Idol†competition – an American Idol spinoff - which catapulted him into the spotlight.
