Although she's no longer alive, Aaliyah continues to have an impact on the music industry. Since her untimely death in 2001, people are still paying tribute to the star.

In a recent interview with Billboard, Alicia Keys revealed that her hit song "If I Ain't Got You" was inspired by the late singer's death.

She told the publication: "A lot of people have sung it on the show, which I super, super love. I actually wrote it after I heard that Aaliyah passed away. I was on a plane, and I think being on the plane and knowing she passed away after a plane crash, it was this sentiment of being present in a moment and nothing else mattering but those that you love."

She explained that she wrote the song really quickly, and added that the production took long. "It was such a labor of love," the singer and songwriter told Billboard.
