Legends have given iconic performances on the Massive Music stage, just as some of the country's most sought-after musos got their first big break by introducing their work to the world in the same joint.
And on Friday, 31 March at 19:00, Massive Music will be airing its final episode on the air. The variety music program, which premiered simulcast on Channel O and Mzansi Magic in 2016, will see the coming back of all its presenters to bid farewell to a massive era for the culture.
The era has given us performances that have run up the numbers on Youtube, raking in millions of views from all over the world. The likes of Makhadzi, Master KG, AKA, Cassper Nyovest, Riky Rick, the creme de la creme of the Amapiano movement, the finest gospel performers, masking maestros, and many more, have served up sets that have shaken social media streets.
In between the performances, the artists typically tea about their latest projects, while also getting an opportunity to open up to their fans about their journey beyond the stage. This is how the freshest scoops on pop culture find their wings, giving the people the content they signed up for, while allowing performing artists to connect to their supporters.
That's not all.
In the six-year of the Massive Music era, many artists, who are now successful incumbents in the game of filling dancefloors and dominating Tik Tok trends, first found their first spotlight on that very stage.
The final episode will look back at some of the best moments on the show. Join in!
