Akwaaba Magic is proud to announce that Date My Family Ghana, the local version of the successful reality television series, will premiere on the 17th of December 2021 on DStv CH 150 and GOtv Supa CH 101. The show is set to give audiences a front row seat into the journey of singletons trying to find love!
“Date My Family is a dating show. It seeks to find people with similar interests and match them according to their individual requirements, through a series of three dates with the singleton’s family, all in a bid to get to know the singleton without meeting them,” said Kennedy Dankyi-Appah, Channel Head of Akwaaba Magic. “After the three dates, the bachelor or bachelorette will choose their favourite family and go on a date with the singleton that was represented,” he added.
The channel has collaborated with a local production company in Ghana called Ad-visors to produce the first season of the hit reality show in Ghana. The producers are no stranger to the channel, having worked on Inside Out since the launch of the channel in March 2021. Dankyi-Appah equally expressed his excitement about working with the highly talented crew once again and delivering yet another riveting television format that will keep viewers glued to their screens every Friday evening at 8.30pm: “The show is a new concept for the channel and is extremely entertaining, youthful and suitable for the whole family,” he concluded.
Furthermore, the show is all about the fun and adventure of finding a potential partner and will feature situations that the audience can identify with.
