He is Lankai’s husband. He works as the chief accountant in Lankai’s businesses including the NGO and offers his services to his church free of charge. In the beginning he’s demure and nods to most of Lankai’s needs and wants. He knew from when she would come to him for help with her business plans many years ago that he loved her more than she did him, but he was willing to live with that if she proclaimed him publicly as her husband, which she did. Two kids and many successful ventures later James still feels like the luckiest man on earth to be called Lankai Morgan’s husband. However, when their notorious daughter gets herself into trouble, he finds himself crossing several lines to the other side of the law. Determined to prove to his kids he can also be instrumental in their lives, James’s devices his own plans and steers his children’s escapades into even deeper troubled waters. He also discovers Lankai has a lover. Along with his children James sinks deeper into more trouble until he’s stuck and seeks Lankai’s help but the damage is far more damning than he anticipated.
