James Morgan: With the return of his now ex-wife, James would be walking on tenterhooks because, on one side of things, he would have to deal with a possibly scorned ex and on the other side, nurse jealous red flags from his lover, Caroline. Not to mention how he would also have to shelf any hopes of making Caroline “Mrs Morgan” in the foreseeable future till he gets some things off his table.
Caroline: For Pastor Kumi’s beloved daughter, the mention of “Lankai” alone sends shivers down her spine - no be small thing oh! Now that she is physically present with them, Caroline must do everything to ensure that she secures her place as the legitimate Mrs. Morgan before James gets a change of heart and mind - because like they say, “old flames never die”. To make matters worse, she is pregnant, still unmarried and James still has his ex-wife lurking in the shadows. The pressure is getting worser for Caroline.
Van: For the man who managed to run Lankai out of the country, happiness is far from him owing to the fact that her return makes nonsense of his efforts. He would now have to calculate his steps and cover his tracks because the least chance Lankai gets, she would give him a spoonful of his own medicine - trust Lankai to show him premium shege! Just so you know, Lankai has already started digging up dirt on him - it’s about to go down!
Ahmed: For the loyalists like Ahmed, Lankai’s return is certainly a breath of fresh air and rightly so, his faithfulness would be rewarded as Lankai has already started working hand-in-hand with him to execute her ‘best-laid plans’. It pays to be loyal, you know!
Josephine: Poor Aunty Jo is going to feel the pressure like never before following the return of Lankai. After taking over from Lankai after she was exiled, Aunty Jo would have to quietly put together her handover notes as CEO because Lankai would surely head in her direction and the results may be bloody. Literally!
Pastor Kumi: The man of God was one of the people who expressed worry and concern when Lankai was forcefully exiled. He would normally call to check up on her to make sure that she was doing okay, not just thriving under the pressure. Now that she is back, his personal ambition of entering politics can see the full light of day with Lankai’s support. He has now thrown his full weight behind Lankai and is slowly working his way into the halls of power if everything goes their way. Pastor Kumi and greed are in the same WhatsApp group, not minding his daughter’s love life on the line.
Noah Morgan: Lankai’s son who has not been the same ever since his mother left would be one of the characters to enjoy some respite with her return. If not for anything, he would get the closure that he feels he deserves and a proper explanation as to why his mother “just up and left” - these are his own words.
As the story unfolds, we can only wait with bated breath to find out the fate that awaits all these characters and more. The drama is on so tell a friend to tell a friend that Lankai is back!
