Following Lankai's exile, all those related to her are working to pick up their pieces and she takes in her solitude. By some strange fortune, Lankai gets a golden call to return home.

Mrs Porturphy is doing all she can to cover Caroline's pregnancy by getting her contacts to help secure a marriage certificate for her. In exchange for this favour, Caroline will find a way of bringing Nina down.

Aal's vulnerability in light of Lankai's absence appears to be getting out of hand as he goes through almost all the stages of grief to show how he desperately needs her back safe and sound.

Aal goes snooping for information about Lankai and manages to work up Nina who sees his desperation and tries to help. All of Aal's efforts are thwarted as Ahmed shows up and gets him to leave
