Sooj stepped into his Head of House role with his squad, Anita, his ride-or-die Nelly, and bestie Topher, by his side, and trust us, it’s already shaping up to be a week of drama, tension, and a little confusion. After receiving his HoH crown last night, Sooj hit the ground running, ready to make things happen.
The morning kicked off with the housemates’ workout session, and then it was straight into business mode. Sooj led a wager meeting with confidence, discussing the week’s play, followed by Ozee’s suggestion for the storyline. No objections? Check. Sooj was all set to reconvene the group later for role discussions since they’d already covered the storyline and prop requirements. Easy, right? Well, not so fast.
Anita’s talent troubles
Anita seemed to be having a mini-crisis over how best to showcase her talents. She even turned to Tjay for advice. Tjay has been trying to show a different side of himself, one that isn’t just “the doctor”, but let’s face it, it’s hard to run away from who you are. He has been trying to break free from his everyday persona, but the doctor vibes keep creeping back in.
Role drama on the horizon?
Then came a brief meeting between Sooj, Ozee, Ocee, and Onyeka. Sooj mentioned that a few housemates had requested major roles in the play, which sparked a little fire in the house. Onyeka immediately jumped in, reminding everyone that every role is important, even the ‘waka pass’ ones. Ocee quickly corrected her, saying we shouldn’t belittle any role.

Second meeting, same vibe
Part two of the meeting felt like a rerun of the first. Sooj laid out the plan, but housemates weren’t entirely on board. Shaun, in particular, wasn’t having it. He pushed slightly for planning the movie premiere alongside the first part of the wager – recording the film. Sooj, clearly over it, told Shaun he was making him repeat himself. “Let’s focus on part one” Case closed, right? Not quite.
After Sooj assigned roles and asked for volunteers, he couldn’t help but notice the long faces and low energy in the room. Onyeka, dropped some wisdom from her own HoH experience, assuring him that it was just the first-day jitters. She reiterated that she wrote and directed the play, and also acted in it. When Sooj asked what she planned to do in the wager, he was surprised to hear she wanted to act and direct again. According to Onyeka, with only 14 housemates, doubling up on roles is the only way, but whether the actors will be handling other jobs for the movie premiere is still up in the air. Hopefully, this doesn’t lead to a major meltdown later.
The big question remains: will this week be any different? Biggie’s been dropping hints about the lack of teamwork, and this crew is already showing cracks. Will Sooj and his squad pull it together in time, or is a messy wager presentation on the horizon? Stay tuned – this HoH reign is far from smooth sailing!
