Ivie Okujaye
Born in Benin City in 1987, Ivie attended Queens College, Lagos and went on to study Economics at the University of Abuja. In 2009 she participated in and won the Amstel Malta Box Office (AMBO) reality TV show. This win launched Ivie’s movie career and landed her a role in the movie Symphony. She won her first major award for this role – AMAA’s Best Young Actor in 2012.
Ivie has developed from an actress into a producer, scriptwriter, dancer, singer and activist. She also won the Trailblazer Award at the 2013 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards and was nominated at the 2014 AMVCAs for Best Actress in a Drama for her role in The Volunteers.
Ivie is nominated again this year for Best Actress in a Drama, for her role in Make a Move.
