Nelly and Sooj’s relationship has been more complicated than Ozee’s non-existent love triangle. They've been on Ebuka’s radar since early in the season, especially because they connected so quickly. If it’s not Sooj chatting to Shaun about Nelly’s body (which got back to Wanni, of course), it’s Wanni calling him disrespectful for spanking Onyeka or touching Victoria, only to quickly pull his hand away when Nelly showed up after the Thursday night pool party.
Now, their latest wahala is thanks to a conversation Sooj had with Handi after the Saturday night gbedu. They were clearing the air, with Handi saying there was no bad blood between them, and before you knew it, they were bonding and throwing compliments around. Meanwhile, Nelly was upstairs, waiting for Sooj to join her, but instead, she found out he was downstairs “chatting and laughing” with Handi. Omo, no wonder she wasn’t happy! But they seem to have mastered the art of opening up when things get tough and iron out any issues, which they did last night. That cleared any baggage on their path, making way for the cute and fun couple goals they are serving us with this day.
Everyone wants to feel seen and valued in a relationship, and when that doesn’t happen, you already know drama will follow. That’s why Ocee would rather lie than start explaining. He’s always teasing the guys in the house who are in ships, saying they're constantly explaining themselves. He’s even talked to Topher about it since Topher spends a lot of time “clearing the air” with Anita. Anita is always asking, “Do we have any pending conversations?” Some fans admire their “explanations” and see it as communication, calling it the key to a healthy relationship. Ocee? Speaking of deep conversations, Anita and Topher had one of those this morning. Anita asked Topher what his “spec” is, and he said funny, ambitious, and beautiful. But when she asked, “Am I a joke to you?” Topher might have messed up by replying, “Who said you’re funny?” That led Anita to share her own “spec,” and apparently, Topher doesn't align with this! According to her, her man has to be smart and teach her new things.
She even told him to “pick up a book” because he’s clueless about so much. “What have you taught me?” she asked. The two briefly laughed it off but their conversation has led to a lot of tension. What’s next for these two? Only time will tell!
