Obi-Emelonye
Obi-Emelonye has lived in the creative bubble created by her film director husband for the past 10 years. Gradually she has been sucked into the world of make believe and writing the story of The Mirror Boy was her first foray into screenwriting.
The success of that project has encouraged her to continue her writing career with Onyeozi (The Messenger), an Igbo film to be shot in London (in pre-production).
She shares her time between completing a degree in Social Work and looking after her young children. She lives with her family in Chelsea, West London.
She has been nominated in four AMVCA categories for Best Sound Editor, Best Movie Director, Best Movie (Overall)and Best Movie (Drama).
