The steamy relationships
Our housemates were quite reserved at first but it soon became clear they were just testing the waters! Joan and Chinedu kicked things off, cuddling and making out all over the house but the latter’s eviction cut their romance short and left Joan devastated.
Another love story cut short was Joseph and Maureen’s after Gideon stepped into the picture and swept her off her feet. Meanwhile, since “shy” Ebuka didn’t make the first move Francisca took matters into her own hands. Little did she know her knight in shining armour also had eyes for Helen and her “beautiful body”. Passionate make out sessions, jealousy and a spicy love triangle soon followed.
And who could forget Ify and Katung getting intimate under the covers and making the cover of national papers across Nigeria when people thought they were doing the dirty.
Ebuka’s eviction
Our Big Brother Naija Season 9 host was hugely popular right from the get go. Being tall, suave, handsome and easy going made him a hit both inside and outside the house. He wasn’t nominated until week eight and even then, everyone was convinced he’d survive eviction. We were all shocked when his name got called out that fateful Sunday but the fact that he’s gone on to enjoy monumental success as an MC is proof that he never lost his charm.
The awesome challenges
The challenges from season one put the housemates through the most! Nowhere was this more evident than boot camp week. The push ups, the mud, the rations, waking up at 6am?
By the end of the week EVERYONE was done with it. But the worst was yet to come. The winning team got to enjoy a feast while everyone else watched them on a TV screen. Ouch!
Katung’s big win!
From the moment he got into the house Katung dominated every challenge and won over all the housemates with his incredible charisma. His landslide victory (51% of the vote) is also clear proof that people outside the house were just as smitten with him too. It's been 10 years of massive accomplishments for our Big Brother Nigeria winner too. Here's what he's been getting up to.
