On Ebighi Ebi, Ogechi and Ugonna's love story was a rollercoaster of emotions. It was love at first sight when they met. Ugonna calls things off
After hearing about his family history and facing opposition from Ogechi's family, a scared Ugonna decided to call things off. Even though he loved Ogechi deeply, he felt love was not enough, as her parents would never give them their blessings. His decision deeply hurt Ogechi and caused her to give in to her father's suggestion to leave the country for good to start a new life abroad.

However, after enduring days of heart-wrenching separation and a much-needed pep talk from his sister and close friend, Ugonna summoned the courage to reach out to Ogechi. Despite her silence and her parents' plans to whisk her away, Ugonna remained undeterred. Fueled by his unyielding love, he bravely visited Ogechi's family house unannounced.
Upon arrival, Ugonna discovered that Ogechi had already left. But as fate would have it, a forgotten passport brought her back, and Ugonna seized the opportunity to win her back despite her parents' objections. Ogechi made the courageous choice to choose Ugonna over her parents, gaining his love, a beautiful daughter, and a marriage with him. However, she also lost her bond with her parents, leaving her yearning for their acceptance.
