Getting proposed to by the love of your life is almost every woman's dream. However, it was a nightmare for Esosa as it unraveled so many issues and secrets she was unprepared to face.
Esosa's has a dark past
While she was thrilled, Collins made the right move by proposing, seeing as she was pregnant with his child. Esosa's shrouded past, however, posed a problem as she worried Collins would see her in a different light if he learned she was trafficked and forced into prostitution. Madam Itohan, her trafficker, wasn't helping issues as she was shocked on hearing about the proposal and pregnancy and threatened to expose Esosa to Collins.
Esosa's weird family dynamics
Madam Itohan, interestingly, wasn't Esosa's only obstacle; her family also posed a problem as Collins had never met her family or been to their home because she had lied and told him she came from wealth and had a great relationship with her mother and brother; however, that was not the reality.
Esosa's family is poor, and her relationship with her mother, Iye, and brother, Imafidon, is far from loving as the duo mostly used Esosa for money; they scammed her of the hard-earned money she frequently sent back home for them to build a house she hoped will be the perfect front to match her lie however it was never built.
Due to her family's actions towards her, she also kept Collins away from them. But after chatting with her close friend, Ada, Esosa decided to meet up with her family. While Iye was thrilled to hear the news, Imafidon, who Esosa had arrested for failing to build her house, wasn't, and he even refused to meet with Collins at a fancy dinner Esosa had planned. Will he eventually agree to attend?
