The No Loose Guard house was alive with the vibrant energy of Nigerian culture as the housemates celebrated the country’s 64th Independence Day in grand style. From traditional music to local delicacies, the housemates embraced the spirit of Nigeria, honouring the beauty and diversity of their homeland in an unforgettable celebration.
The Nigerian rhythm
The festivities kicked off with upbeat cultural performances from cultural dancers from various Nigerian tribes. This was followed by a soulful performance by the talented Praiz, who serenaded the housemates with smooth tunes that left the female contestants blushing. He moved from one housemate to another, adding a personal touch to the performance, setting the perfect evening tone.
The energy shifted when Alternate Sounds took over, delivering pulsating beats that filled the arena with an irresistible rhythm. The housemates couldn’t resist as they hit the dance floor, moving to the Afro-infused beats that echoed the heartbeat of Nigeria.

A feast of Nigerian delights
The cultural immersion continued with a spread of mouth-watering Nigerian dishes that took the housemates back to their roots. Covered bowls were unveiled to reveal a feast that included Abacha (African Salad), Ugba (African oil bean), native rice, grilled fish, Nkwobi (cuts from cow feet), and Asun (spicy roast goat). The tantalising aroma filled the air, and the housemates eagerly dug into their meals, savouring the rich flavours of Nigeria.
Victoria, overwhelmed by the generous spread, cooed, "This is nice," as the housemates expressed their gratitude to Biggie for the unexpected feast. It was clear that Biggie wanted to give the finalists a night they wouldn’t forget – and with this cultural feast, they truly felt like the royalty they are.
Nigeria, our Nigeria
The night was not just about food and music but also a time for reflection and hope. Each housemate took to the stage to express their love for Nigeria, sharing heartfelt wishes for the country’s future. They spoke passionately about their hopes and dreams for Nigeria, echoing the sentiments of millions of citizens who long for a brighter future.
After their emotional speeches, the housemates gathered around the beautifully decorated cake to celebrate the nation’s 64th Independence Day. With smiles and laughter, they cut the cake and wished Nigeria a happy independence, symbolising their hopes for unity, progress, and peace in the years to come.
The Independence Day celebration in the BBNaija house was nothing short of spectacular. As the housemates returned to the house, they couldn’t stop talking about the night’s festivities. Despite the challenges Nigeria faces, one sentiment lingers in the air: a hope for a better Nigeria.
