As the finale week of Big Brother Naija unfolds, the vibe in the house is heavy with emotions, and the remaining eight housemates are feeling the
heat. Biggie isn’t making it any easier; he played a series of heartfelt messages from home, showering the finalists with congratulations and encour-
agement to keep pushing forward because "the only way is up".
While these messages brought some joy, they also led to a flood of tears, especially for Nelly, who found comfort in the toilet cubicle with her partner
Sooj. Sooj gently reminded Nelly to stay strong for her family, just like Anita and Onyeka.
We witnessed the emotional rollercoaster when Anita broke down after the live show, and it was Nelly who stepped in to comfort her. The tables have
turned, showcasing how their bonds deepen in the house. In stark contrast, Victoria was left crying alone and quietly in the garden this evening, highlighting her loneliness. Without a close friend or partner to lean on, it’s hard to tell whether her tears were sparked by the emotional messages from
home or if she was struggling with Kassia’s departure.
Kassia had become Victoria’s closest companion, and it was heartwarming to see how their shared quiet nature brought them together. Watching Victoria come out of her shell and embrace her true self was a joy. After the emotional messages from home, she took some time for herself, opting for a nap before finally rejoining the group, but sitting like an outsider, but engaging in the conversations.
Newer bonds
Onyeka and Wanni have become super close this week after recent evictions. They are two of the three housemates who came into the house with their sisters. When her twin sister Handi and her man, Shaun were evicted, Wanni found herself needing to forge new connections.
She turned to Kassia, who was there to entertain her when she needed a friend. However, things took a turn when agents DRC entered the house. Kassia and Victoria were thrilled to see Damilola, Chinwe, and Rhuthee, but Wanni was far from happy about Rhuthee's return. This created a rift between Kassia and Wanni, but the bond between Wanni and Onyeka has only grown stronger, blazing like a flame. Who knew they could become besties? Biggie’s house is full of surprises!
This intense finale week makes you think about how important it is to have more than one genuine connection in a place like this. Is it a lesson about
dealing with grief while still holding onto hope?
As we gear up for the finale this Sunday, we’ll find out which connections will help secure a win and whether the bonds formed through tears and laughter will make all the difference.
