Doctor Jide Abisogun
The 37 year old Doctor Jide has somewhat reconciled himself to a life as the big fish in a small pond. Once with big dreams of becoming a surgeon, his career never really took flight.
Married with a wife who lives in his home town, his personal life is a cipher to most of the villagers he attends to, as he deliberately keeps up an air of mystique, driving around his third hand car and playing the big educated man, using big medical words with the villagers that most of them do not understand. He enjoys being seen as a savior and fountain of knowledge to most of these people and in Aji, his regular private consultations with the local head chief have made him something of an unofficial confidant and a friend to the man.
He believes he deserves bigger things and he already has a scheme in the works that he hopes will get them for him.
He enjoys the attention of women but is careful not to dive into any philandering that could harm his standing in the community or get back to is wife at home.
He has no children.
