The Viewer’s Choice performances finally took place last night alongside unplugged versions of some big musical hits.
The Live Show started with the introduction of Ric Hassani who opened up the show with a medley of his hits which included Thunder Fire You and Amina. Right before the performances of the Contestants, IK reminded everyone of his info last week that two Contestants were going to be Eliminated.
Lest we forget there was that little bit of cheekiness from D’banj who was finding it hard to understand the meaning of “unplugged” in relation to music.😆 IK had announced that the first set of performances will be unplugged versions of some songs and oga D’banj went on to make the studio dark when he unplugged a chord he wasn't supposed to.😭
The show continued with IK going on to announce the performances which also signified who made it to Top 3.
Quest was the first to be announced as safe from Elimination and this meant she was the first to perform. She didn't disappoint as she gave an outstanding performance of IDG by Asa.

Next to be announced to perform was Victory who was obviously excited as it meant he was part of the Top 3. His performance of Blessed by Wizkid received praise from the Judges for his delivery.

Then came the moment to find out who amongst Goodness, Ose Daniel, and Precious Mac will make it to Top 3. After a bit of tension, IK announced Precious Mac as the third Contestant to fill up the Top 3 spot.
The first set of performances ended with Precious Mac’s performance of Beggie Beggie by Ayra Starr.

Then came the Viewers’ Choice performs with Quest starting things off with a powerful rendition of Hello by Adele. Simi commended the performance but made a note to Quest that she should have started the song softer to create a certain effect on the song.

Victory came up next with a performance of Happy by Pharrell. He was praised by the Judges with Obi saying he knew Victory could be a possible Top 2 Contender right from his first performance at the Auditions.

Last to perform in the Viewers’ Choice category and for the night was Precious Mac who gave a powerful rendition of Rihanna’s Diamonds. Her performance got her a standing ovation from all the Judges and Ric Hassani who were blown away by her performance.
