Oya, no one said the dating game would be a bed of roses, but it doesn’t hurt to try now does it? Though the following peeps missed their respective shots, they absolutely put on their games faces and knew that it was now or never.
 

Ain’t no way, Emmanuel!

Things don’t always work in our favour sha, and Emmanuel and Vivian’s tale was such a bleeding example, e even shock Bisola finish. Though Vivian was open to meeting her admirer and possibly give romance a chance, she absolutely swallowed lemons when she realised that her longtime friend and alleged serial cheat was it. Basically; It was a “no”, it’s been a “no” and will always be a “no”. Ouch much?

We beg! How does one say no and then seal it with a kiss? Spotting a heart as big as her personality, Sesi stole Taiwo’s heart fast-fast and bros just couldn’t stop thinking about her, hence the call to cupid and the Shoot Your Shot team. Though Taiwo ticked all the golden boxes, Sesi just couldn’t bring herself to say “yes” given the fact that they had only met once – but judging by the kiss at the end, it’s an eventual “yes” this one. Kudos in advance bros Cupid sah!



Smell you later, Vicky!

It all started with a sandy stroll down the Lagos coast and boom, our admirer could have sworn he saw an angel. Vicky and a friend were minding their business (as everyone should) when bros approached and offered to send them some pictures he’d taken while they weren’t looking. While Vicky’s friend brushed him off by saying they didn’t have money to spend on pics they didn’t ask for in the first place, bros offered them the pictures as a gift – and that little transaction earned him Vicky’s number. Ding! ding! ding! right? Wrong! Sweet as she was about him shooting his shot, Vicky felt like they were still strangers and it would be even stranger is she said “yes”. Next time, oga photographer.



My sweet Belema.

Guy, first of all, do not wait seven years to tell your crush you’re crushing because you may just be crushed  (unless you’re sweet Isaac who at the tender age of 15 walking past the market and noticing the even sweeter 13-year-old Belema. Isaac knew he just had to strike up a conversation with Belema and that marked the beginning of their budding friendship; a seven-year friendship to be precise.  It was quite unfortunate (we beg, consider relativity) when Belema reminded her ‘guy’ (which kain friendzone be this, biko?!) that she was in a long-term relationship and therefore couldn’t allow the shot to reach. * deep sigh *



What can we say? You win some, you lose some! While Emmanuel and the gang were served a “no”, we totally garnish their plates with big phat kudos for fearlessly shooting their shot despite no knowing what the outcome would be. If we were to launch a show called ‘Nigeria’s Bravest’, they’d be the first on the casting list.
