Older sister to Akweyon, 19-year-old Seyevi works as a cleaner in the clinic. Barely educated, she has a curious mind and a thirst for knowledge that battles with her highly superstitious background.
Seyevi struggles with guilt for her sister Akweyon’s situation. When Akweyon started having fits as a ten year old and accused an uncle of molesting her, Seyevi was called to bear witness. To scared to tell the truth, she claimed her sister was lying.
Since then Seyevi has had to spend years watching her sister live a life where she is shunned and feared, with only a future as the next priestess to look forward to. Seyevi moved to Aji to be close to her sister and somehow make amends for failing her back then, but the two have still not spoken since.
